“I came to the Church of the Latter Rain in April 2003, it was an incredible experience. Immediately, I felt the love of the people; they received me and made me feel welcome. Coming from Angola in Southern Africa, I know when someone is genuine or not. The people at the church treated me with respect and dignity; they didn’t care about what I had or didn’t have. They just cared about my soul. I can’t describe it; you have to come and feel it for yourself, and pray the Lord will touch your mind.
“During my first service, I heard the ministry preach about forgiveness and having an understanding of the Word of God. They encouraged the people to read the Bible. I finally felt like I was receiving the truth. I learned about the resurrection of the dead. All my life I was afraid of dying, but when I heard that I could achieve eternal life, I knew I found what I was looking for. I now know through the Word of God that if I put more of Jesus in me, I can live with him eternally.”
