Brother Darral Brown

Brother Darral Brown is the lead minister for the Church at Baton Rouge. He came in contact with the church through a co-worker in 1984 at the age of 19 while in the Air Force stationed at Misawa, Japan. It was through listening to audio recordings of church services he received from his co-worker during his three year tour in Japan that he was converted by the preaching of the word or God. Although he hadn’t met Brother Lacy Hawkins, nor visited the church, he was captivated by his teaching of the Doctrines of Christ and this foundation sustained him until he was able to visit the Church of the Latter Rain for the first time in 1991. During his first visit, he was water baptized and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and began his life changing journey with the Lord.

He was stationed in Georgia at the time, but through a miraculous chain of events received a transfer to Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California in 1995 which brought him to the Vallejo assembly. Finally, he was able to attend worship services after eleven years of audio and video recordings. When it was time for him to transfer to a different location due to his official Air Force obligations, he prayed for an assignment near a Church of the Latter Rain assembly. The Lord granted his request and moved him and his family to Baton Rouge in 2000, which was a new church at the time. That same year Brother Darral was ordained a minister in Baton Rouge and shortly thereafter became the lead minister. He works closely with other ministers to support the church, including: Brother David Lemmons and Brother Wayne Reed.

Brother Darral is married to Sister Alisa Brown.
